Dr. Zakir Naik, the president of Islamic Research Foundation IRF, Mumbai, India is invited by The Gambian leader Yahya Jammeh to grace the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the July 22nd Revolution.Dr. Naik will arrive in The Gambia on Thursday with a high-powered delegation as special guest of President Jammeh.According to officials, the renounced international Islamic Scholar who is on his first visit to Gambia will grace the celebrations on Friday, hold some public lectures as well as pay a courtesy call on the Gambian leader and the authorities of the Gambia Supreme Islamic Council.Meanwhile Dr. Naik will join a number of delegates invited to the occasion.So far five presidents have arrived in Banjul ahead of a lineup of events that have been drawn to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the July 22nd Revolution starting October 10 Friday to the 19th.
