Gambia striker Assan Ceesay has scored his first goal for FC Zürich in a crucial match that handed them a 2-1 win at FC Sion.
The Scorpions international, who left FC Lugano to join their Swiss Super League rivals on a four-year contract on August 31, was a second-half substitute who went on to score the winner in added time to take Zürich joint-second on the table.
It was the 12th career league goal for the former Gamtel FC, Casa Sports and ASC Niarry Tally striker who turned professional two years ago.
His winning goal at the Stade de Tourbillon in Sion earned him a place in the Team of the Week alongside compatriot Pa Modou Jagne.
Torres, as fondly called, will hope his performance will earn him a starting slot in coach Ludovic Magnin’s team when they welcome Neuchâtel Xamax on Sunday.
