The Premier Group Foundation Trust (TPGFT) over the weekend embarked on free clinical outreach for 500 rural dwellers at Kiang Sankandi in the LRR.
This type of outreach is held every four months to support under privileged individuals and communities. It focuses on educational interactive evens aim at educating, empowering and inspiring people on health aspects with special emphasis on Hypertension and Diabetes.
The CEO of the foundation Sankung Minteh said the foundation is non-profitable and it is created by young individuals who recognised the need to contribute to humanity and national development through health support to the needy and vulnerable communities.
He said the medical outreach is part of an action plan for the year and focuses more in the rural areas adding that the young foundation does not only focuse on medical activities but also endeavours to help needy students ..

According to Minteh, the foundation also endeavours to help the mentally ill people.”We believe that this mentally ill people are also part of national development if we leave them in to the streets how can they contribute to national development and some of them are highly intelligent or educated people,” he said.
The Alkalo of Sankandi Bakary Darbo expressed delight over the gesture and thanked the organisation for choosing his village for the medical outreach.
A Sankandi resident, pleaded to the government to help build a health facility noting that women have suffered so much during pregnancy to get transport go to the other villages.
